Description
The end of a era the last C&I train pulling out of Mine #33 with loaded coal cars . June 1994 Mine #33 closed down and C & I Railroad was out of work too. Cambria & Indiana Railroad out of Colver Pa. opened in 1904 closed in 1994.Bethlehem Mines opened in Ebensburg Pa. in 1962 closed in 1994 .It was a gray day for the coal miners and the railroad men who lost there jobs. I worked in that mine for 23 1/2 years .Painting by Jeffrey Koss
